The traditional Cobb Salad was invented in the 1930s at the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. The owner, Robert Howard Cobb, was rummaging through his fridge late at night looking for a meal when he put together this iconic salad. Since its inception, the Cobb Salad has seen numerous variations but has always maintained its signature presentation: a bed of greens topped with neatly arranged rows of ingredients.

The inspiration for this recipe came from the Iron Chef series. Just like the culinary masters on the show who reinvent classic recipes with their unique spins, we decided to give the traditional Cobb Salad an update.

Our twist comes in the form of the ingredients. We opted for grilled chicken instead of the classic roasted for a more robust flavor. The use of a tangy vinaigrette instead of the traditional French dressing adds a zesty contrast to the richness of the avocado and blue cheese. Lastly, we added chives for an extra pop of color and a subtle onion flavor that complements the other ingredients perfectly.

We hope you enjoy this reimagined classic as much as we enjoyed creating it. Whether you're a fan of the Iron Chef series or just a food lover looking for a delicious and satisfying salad, our Cross-Validation Cobb Salad is sure to delight. Happy cooking!
